Taking the high-speed TGV train is a comfortable option if you are travelling through Paris before heading to the French Riviera. Trains depart regularly from Paris Gare de Lyon and take approximately 5 hours to reach Cannes.

If you are arriving at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, you can either take the TGV from the airport to Cannes when available or make your way into central Paris and depart from Gare de Lyon.

We recommend purchasing your train tickets in advance, as fares generally increase closer to the departure date. If you are connecting from an international flight, we also recommend allowing plenty of time between your arrival and train departure.

If the price difference between First and Second Class is small, First Class is worth considering for a more comfortable and relaxed journey.
